First Week, My Experience

Opening Ceremony

Monday, 5th August 2019

The fourth day in Chiang Mai. I wake up in early morning and have breakfast with my roommate, Nuzul. Today is orientation about this program so it is must be important day for us as participants of SEA Teacher Project Batch 8th in Chiang Mai Rajabath University.

At 11.00 we meet Tonzon, Miss Arry’s student at 2nd floor building number 27, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University (CMRU). She take us to walk around to see important places in the campus.

She also teaches us about basic Thai language.

At 12.30 we go back to second floor of building number 27 CMRU. The orientation session was be held at 13:00. The orientation of this program held at the University Council Meeting Room. We entered the room and were seen meeting room with several important people at CMRU.

We are feel so nervous.

The Orientation Ceremony opened with the welcoming speech by Dr. Paweena Kosito as Director of the International Affair Office of CMRU.

After that, we get welcome speech from  Asst.Prof. Dr.Pathamarat Nakanitanon, Vice President, presided over the orientation meeting arranged for  nine exchange pre-service student teachers participating in the SEA-Teacher Project  batch 8th.

Then, entering the self-introduction session, starting from Chiang Mai Rajabhat University administrator and lectures, Suksasongkhro School, Yupparaj Wittalayai School Administrators and Teachers, and CMRU Demonstration School administrators and teacher. After that I and 8 student teachers from Indonesia introduce our self.

After that, we did a photo session and a meeting with the supervisors and teachers.

Amanda and I met with the teacher and administrator of the CMRU Demonstration School.

We discussed about the subjects we were going to teach, teaching hours, and et cetera. After that, around 14:30. CMRU Demonstration School teachers took us to look around to the school.
